Weddings at St Mary’s

Thank you for considering St Mary's for your wedding. One of the most beautiful churches in Australia, St Mary's is situated on the picturesque Kangaroo Point cliffs of the City reach of the Brisbane River. It is well known for its fine musical tradition, and depth of the pastoral care offered to all who come to this sacred site, especially for the Sacrament of Marriage.

If you are looking for that special place for your wedding, St Mary’s offers all this and much more. It is our intention to provide a balance of traditional Anglican spirituality, vibrant liturgy and a relaxed atmosphere for all aspects of your marriage preparation, Wedding Service and a connection with St Mary’s after your special day. 

What is included when you get married at St Mary’s Kangaroo Point?

  • Officiating Priest

  • Verger - who will act as the wedding coordinator for the church on the day

  • Flowers

  • Pew bows

  • Organist to perform your wedding music

  • All relevant paperwork organised for you

If you choose, extras that can be included on the day are:

  • Drinks on the lawn, with our own team of volunteers serving drinks and/ or nibbles to your guests

  • Choir or vocalist

St Mary’s is an active Christian Community, more than just a place to be married. Many people in St Mary’s parish are involved in the preparation of your wedding and on the day.  Now that you are declaring your dedication and love, St Mary’s aims to provide you with care, not just for your wedding day, but for rest of your life.
